As specified in Article 233 of the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana,the function of the commission shall be:
a.To create and sustain within the society the awareness of the principles and objectives of the constitution as the fundamental law of the people of Ghana.
B.To educate and encourage the public to defend this constitution at all times,against all forms of abuse and violation.
c.To formulate for consideration of government from time to time ,programmes at the national,regional and district levels aimed at realizing the objectives of the constitution.
d.To formulate ,implement and oversee programmes intended to inculcate in the citizen in Ghana awareness of their civic responsibilities and appreciation of their rights and obligations as free people.
e.Such other functions as Parliament may prescribe.

The executed programme of activities fro the first and second quarters of 2018,sum up to two hundred and five(205).The following topics were used in the public education programme in the two quarters

c.Mob instant justice,the role of citizens
d.Forced and early marriages,its causes and effects on society
e.Child labour,its cause ,effects on society and solutions
f.Domestic violence law
g.Tax compliance campaign(our taxes,our future)phase II
h.Accountability,rule of law ,anti-corruption programme(ARAP)
i.”Our taxes build a great Ghana”for citizenship week celebration 2018 phase II
k.Fees paid to the District Assembly(KSDA)
OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
The National Commission Civic Education(NCCE) is a democratic independent institution as entrenched in chapter 19mof the constitution of the Republic Of Ghana.There are nine(9) Articles in chapter ranging from Article 231-239.
