He was accompanied by the Municipal Education Director, Mr Ofosu Kwakye.
The visit forms part of efforts to encourage newly-admitted pupils into kindergarten and primary one to stay and be happy in school.

He advised the teachers to make teaching their top most priority, adding that an education founded on a solid foundation in the early stages of the pupils was the basic ingredient that revealed the good works of a teacher.
He stressed the need for teachers to live exemplary lives for the pupils to emulate since children picked up good and bad habits from their environments.
Assorted soft drinks, biscuits, erasers, pencils and school uniforms provided by the Municipal Assembly were distributed to the more than two hundred pupils. The schools visited included Asakraka Methodist school, Asakraka D/A school, Obo Methodist school, Obo Anglican school, Obomeng D/A school, Nana Ampadu D/A etc.
