TOWN HALL MEETING
This year’s Town Hall meeting took place at the Akropong Presby Church at Mpraeso. Mpraesohene Chaired the meeting which was graced by the Hon. DCE and Member of Parliament. The programme was successful.
WORLD TOURISM DAY / CHIEFS DURBAR
This year’s World Tourism Day Celebration was celebrated with a symposium and a durbar of Chiefs from Kwahu Abetifi. Chiefs from Kwahu land gathered to make the day grand. The symposium was held earlier in the day at the Presbyterian University College
MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL – Kwahu South Municipal Chief Executive welcomes Pupils
The Kwahu South Municipal Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Emmanuel Ofori Atta, led a team on a tour of selected schools in the district to welcome newly-admitted pupils on their first day in school.
He was accompanied by the Municipal Education Director, Mr Ofosu Kwakye.
The visit forms part of efforts to encourage newly-admitted pupils into kindergarten and primary one to stay and be happy in school.
He advised the teachers to make teaching their top most priority, adding that an education founded on a solid foundation in the early stages of the pupils was the basic ingredient that revealed the good works of a teacher.
He stressed the need for teachers to live exemplary lives for the pupils to emulate since children picked up good and bad habits from their environments.
Assorted soft drinks, biscuits, erasers, pencils and school uniforms provided by the Municipal Assembly were distributed to the more than two hundred pupils. The schools visited included Asakraka Methodist school, Asakraka D/A school, Obo Methodist school, Obo Anglican school, Obomeng D/A school, Nana Ampadu D/A etc.
